इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स (IOT) उन उपकरणों का एक समूह है जो इंटरनेट से जुड़े होते हैं।IOT उपकरणों में Wireless Sensor, Software, Actuators और Computer Devices शामिल होते हैं। वे एक विशेष वस्तु से जुड़े होते हैं जो इंटरनेट के माध्यम से डाटा का ट्रान्सफर करते है।

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a set of devices that are connected to the Internet. IoT devices include wireless sensers, software, actuators and computer devices. They are attached to a special object that transfers data through the Internet.

 

History of IOT

सन 1999 की जिसमे एक वैज्ञानिक जिनका नाम Kevin Ashton था इन्होने सबसे पहले इस technology का नाम Internet Of Things रखा था।  उस समय ये वैज्ञानिक P&G ( जो कि बाद में MIT’s Auto-ID Center बना )  में काम किया करते थे।

In 1999, a scientist named Kevin Ashton first named this technology as Internet of Things. At that time, these scientists worked at P&G (which later became MIT's Auto-ID Center).

 

Application of IOT

IOT in Smart Home

 

स्मार्ट होम IOT ऍप्लिकेशन की सहायता से हम घरेलु उपकरणों को स्मार्ट फोन अथवा सेंसर की सहायता से कनेक्ट कर सकते हैं।

इसकी सहायता से हम घर में आने से पहले घर कि Lights और AC चालू कर सकते है, और घर से निकलने के बाद उन्हें बंद कर सकते हैं।

Wearable टेक्नालजी वे सभी उपकरण जिन्हे हम पहन सकते है जैसे कि स्मार्ट क्लॉथ, स्मार्ट वॉच, स्मार्ट शूज आदि, ये सब उपकरण इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स के अंतर्गत आती है। यह फिटनेस, हेल्थ और मनोरंजन के लिये उपयोगी होती हैं।

Wearable Technology All those devices that we can wear such as smart clothes, smart watches, smart shoes etc., all these devices come under the Internet of Things. It is useful for fitness, health and entertainment.

मशीन बनाने के लिए सेंसर, सॉफ्टवेयर, डिवाइस और बिग डेटा एनालिटिक्स के साथ इंडस्ट्रियल इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स (IIOT) का उपयोग डेटा संग्रह, विनिमय और विश्लेषण में बहुत उपयोगी है और औद्योगिक इंजीनियरिंग को मजबूत करने में योगदान दे रहा है।

The use of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) with sensors, software, devices and big data analytics to create machines is very useful in data collection, exchange and analysis and is contributing to the strengthening of industrial engineering.

 

IOT in Agriculture

 

इन्टरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स की सहायता से मौसम का अनुमान लगाया जा सकता हैं। IOT की सहायता से खाद्य- फल की उपलब्धता और आवश्यकता का रिकार्ड रखा जा सकता हैं।

 

किसानों को अच्छी फसलों का उत्पादन करने के लिए मिट्टी की अच्छी गुणवत्ता महत्वपूर्ण होती है इसलिए इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स (IOT) किसानों को अपने मिट्टी की स्थिति की महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी पाने मे बहुत मदद करता है।

Weather forecast can be done with the help of Internet of Things. With the help of IOT, records of availability and requirement of food-fruits can be kept.

 

Good soil quality is important for farmers to produce good crops, so Internet of Things (IOT) helps farmers a lot in getting vital information about the condition of their soil.

Connected Car वह व्हीकल है जो स्वयं का संचालन, रखरखाव के साथ-साथ ऑनबोर्ड सेंसर और इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी का इस्तेमाल करके यात्रियों के आराम के लिए अनुकूल होता हैं।

 

इन्टरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स का यह एप्लिकेशन कार के भीतर की फंक्शन को संचालित करने में सहायक होती है। इसकी सहायता से कार की स्पीड को कंट्रोल किया जा सकता है, दरवाजों को खोलने एवं बंद करने और लाईट्स को ऑन-ऑफ आदि कर सकते हैं।

 

A connected car is a vehicle that optimizes its own operation, maintenance as well as the comfort of passengers using onboard sensors and internet connectivity.

 

This application of the Internet of Things helps to operate the key functions inside the car. With its help, the speed of the car can be controlled, doors can be opened and closed and lights can be turned on and off etc.

 

IOT in Smart City

स्मार्ट सिटी एक पावर फुल ऍप्लिकेशन है। इन्टरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स की सहायता से रोजमर्रा की परेशानियों जैसे जल, बिजली आपूर्ति , ट्रैफिक, क्राइम एवं पर्यावरण संबंधित समस्याओं का निवारण किया जा सकता हैं। Internet Of Things की मदद से Web Application मे Sensor को इंस्टॉल करके उपलब्ध फ्री-पार्किंग के Slots पा सकते है।

 

IOT in Hospitals

 

Hospitals और Health सेक्टर में इन्टरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स का बहुत महत्वपूर्ण योगदान हैं। हॉस्पीटल के इंस्ट्रूमेंट और डाटा का ब्यौरा रखने के साथ-साथ मरीज के लक्षण और रिपोर्टस् का रिकार्ड रखा जाता हैं।

IOT मरीज की को मोनिटर करके किसी भी आपातकाल सुचना तुरंत डॉक्टर तक पहुंचाने में भी सहायक सिद्ध होता हैं।

The Internet of Things has a very important contribution in the hospitals and health sector. Records of patient's symptoms and reports are maintained along with keeping details of hospital equipment and data.

By monitoring the IOT patient's key, it also proves to be helpful in conveying any emergency information to the doctor immediately.

 

Features of IOT

User Interface:

डिवाइस की यूज़र्स इंटरफ़ेस पर जानकारी को end user के लिए एकत्रित की गई होती है। इसको alarm, text, email, message के जरिए सूचित किया जा सकता है।

The information on the user interface of the device is collected for the end user. It can be informed through alarm, text, email, and message.

Data Processing:

 Data Processing में एकत्रित हुए डाटा cloud पर जाता है, सॉफ्टवेयर अधिग्रहण किये डाटा को प्रोसेसिंग करता है। यह बहुत आसान वस्तुओं से लेकर कुछ भी हो सकता है।

In data processing, the collected data goes to the cloud; the software processes the acquired data. It can be anything from very simple items.

 

Connectivity:

Connectivity ट्रांसपोर्ट माध्यम का इस्तेमाल करके एकत्रित Data को Cloud पर भेजा जाता है। इसलिए सेंसर संचार के विभिन्न माध्यमों जैसे कि Wi-fi, Setellite Network, Bluetooth, Wide Area Network आदि द्वारा क्लाउड से कनेक्टेड होते हैं।

The collected data is sent to the cloud using a connectivity transport medium. Hence the sensors are connected to the cloud by various means of communication such as Wi-Fi, Satellite Network, Bluetooth, Wide Area Network etc.

Sensors:

सेंसर अपने आस-पास के वातावरण से data एकत्रित करता है और इस एकत्रित data को साधारण तापमान की निगरानी से लेकर complex वीडियो भी प्रदान करता है। एक device में कई सेंसर लगे हो सकते हैं। सेंसर उदाहरण जैसे- GPS, Camera, Microphone, Temperature सेंसर आदि होते हैं।

The sensor collects data from the environment around it and provides this collected data from simple temperature monitoring to complex videos. There can be multiple sensors in a device. Sensor examples are such as GPS, Camera, Microphone, Temperature sensor etc.
