BIOS (बायोस)

बायोस (BIOS) कंप्यूटर में उपस्थित एक सॉफ्टवेयर प्रोग्राम होता है।  यह कंप्यूटर का एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रोग्राम है और जब कंप्यूटर Start होता है तब BIOS काम में आता है।  जब कंप्यूटर स्टार्ट होता है तो एकदम शुरुआत में सबसे पहले ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम में जो Program Run होता है वह BIOS ही होता है। इसकी फुल फॉर्म Basic Input Output System होती है।

Bios are a software program present in the computer. It is an important program of the computer and the BIOS comes in handy when the computer starts. When the computer starts, the first program that runs in the operating system at the very beginning is the BIOS itself. Its full form is Basic Input Output System.

History of BIOS (BIOS का इतिहास)

BIOS का आविष्कार Gary Kildall ने 1975 में किया था। यह एक अमेरिकी कंप्यूटर वैज्ञानिक थे।

The BIOS was invented by Gary Kildall in 1975. He was an American computer scientist.

Work on BIOS (BIOS का कार्य) 

1) BIOS CMOS की सारी setting को Read करता है और उसकी जाँच करता है, ताकि सभी चीजें सही से काम कर सकें।

The BIOS reads and checks all the settings of the CMOS, so that everything works properly.

 

2) BIOS सभी Driver को लोड करता है, जिससे कि ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम और Connect Device आपस में Communicate कर सकें।

The BIOS loads all the drivers so that the operating system and connected devices can communicate with each other.

 

3) इसके बाद BIOS CPU के सारे Registers को अच्छे तरह से उपयोग होने के लिए तैयार करता है।

After this the BIOS prepares all the registers of the CPU to be used properly.

 

4) Registers को तैयार करने के बाद BIOS POST (Power on Self Test) को Perform करता है. POST की Process में BIOS सारे हार्डवेयर जैसे कीबोर्ड, माउस, मॉनिटर आदि को Test करता है।

After preparing the registers, the BIOS perform POST (Power on Self Test). In the POST process, the BIOS test all the hardware like keyboard, mouse, monitor etc.

 

5) POST की प्रक्रिया के बाद BIOS तय करता है कि कौन से डिवाइस Boot हो सकते हैं, इसे Read करके जरुरी फाइल को RAM में लोड करता है। इस प्रकार हमारा कंप्यूटर on होता है।

After the process of POST, the BIOS decides which devices can boot, reads it and loads the required files into the RAM, thus our computer is turned on.
