               Cell Reference and  

              Its Uses

Cell Address-

किसी भी Cell को उसके Row Number और Column Number के नाम से जाना जाता है। जिसे Cell Address कहा जाता है।

प्रत्येक Cell का Excel में एक Cell Address होता जिसे Name Box में दिखाया जाता है।

जैसे - किसी सेल का कालम A तथा उस सेल का रो नंबर 3 है तब उस सेल का Cell Address A3 होगा।

Any cell is known by its row number and column number. Which is called Cell Address.

Each cell has a cell address in Excel which is shown in the Name Box.

Ex- Column A of a cell and row number of that cell is 3, then the cell address of that cell will be A3.

 

Cell Reference

जब हम  Cell Address को Excel के किसी Function में प्रयोग करते है तब उस cell address को उस Function का Cell Reference कहा जाता है।

When we use cell address in any function of Excel, then that cell address is called cell reference of that function.

 

सेल रेफरेन्स तीन प्रकार के होते है –

There are three types of cell references -

 

 

Absolute Cell Reference-

 

इस Cell Reference में Column Name तथा Row Number दोनो के पहले डालर का चिन्ह ($) प्रयोग किया जाता है। जो हमे यह बताता है कि यह Reference अपरिवर्तित है।

In this cell reference, the dollar sign ($) is used before both the column name and row number. Which tells us that this reference is unchanged.

किसी भी Reference को Absolute Cell Reference में बदलने के लिए उस Cell पर कर्सर को ले जाकर Keyboard की Function Key F4 को press करते है।

जैसे - =SUM($A$2 :$B$2)

 

To change any reference to Absolute Cell Reference, by moving the cursor on that cell, press the Function Key F4 of the keyboard.

EX - =SUM($A$2 :$B$2)

 

 

Relative Cell Reference-

 

इस Cell Reference में डालर चिन्ह ($) का प्रयोग नही किया जाता है। जिससे हमें यह पता चलता है कि इस Cell Reference में कालम तथा रो दोनो परिवर्तित हो सकते है।

जैसे- =SUM(A2,B2)

The dollar sign ($) is not used in this cell reference. From which we come to know that both column and row can be changed in this cell reference.

EX- =SUM(A2,B2)

 

Mixed Cell Reference-

इस Cell Reference में या तो कॉलम या रो दोनो में से किसी एक के साथ डालर चिन्ह ($) का प्रयोग किया जाता है। कालम या रो मे से जिसके साथ डालर चिन्ह का प्रयोग किया जाता है वह अपरिवर्तित होता है।

जैसे- =SUM($A$2 :$B$2)

In this cell reference, the dollar sign ($) is used with either column or row. The column or row with which the dollar sign is used is unchanged.

EX - =SUM($A$2 :$B$2)
