Web Browser is application software that allows us to view and explore information on the web. User can request for any web page by just entering a URL into address bar.

Web browser can show text, audio, video, animation and more. It is the responsibility of a web browser to interpret text and commands contained in the web page.

वेब ब्राउजर एक एप्लिकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर है जो हमें वेब पर जानकारी देखने और तलाशने की अनुमति देता है। उपयोगकर्ता केवल एड्रेस बार में एक यूआरएल दर्ज करके किसी भी वेब पेज के लिए अनुरोध कर सकता है।

वेब ब्राउज़र टेक्स्ट, ऑडियो, वीडियो, एनिमेशन और बहुत कुछ दिखा सकता है। वेब पेज में निहित टेक्स्ट और कमांड की व्याख्या करना वेब ब्राउजर की जिम्मेदारी है।

History of Web Browser

 

British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee created the first web server and graphical web browser in 1990 while working at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, in Switzerland. He called his new window into the internet “Worldwide Web.” 

 

ब्रिटिश कंप्यूटर वैज्ञानिक टिम बर्नर्स-ली ने 1990 में स्विट्जरलैंड में यूरोपीय परमाणु अनुसंधान संगठन, CERN में काम करते हुए पहला वेब सर्वर और ग्राफिकल वेब ब्राउज़र बनाया। उन्होंने इंटरनेट में अपनी नई विंडो को "वर्ल्डवाइडवेब" कहा।

 

Mosaic was the first widely used graphical world wide web browser. It was initially released on April 22, 1993 by NCSA with the help of Marc Andreessen and Eric Bina.

 

Mosaic पहला व्यापक(Comprehensive) रूप से इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला ग्राफिकल वर्ल्ड वाइड वेब ब्राउज़र था। इसे शुरू में 22 अप्रैल, 1993 को NCSA ने मार्क आंद्रेसेन और एरिक बीना की मदद से जारी किया था।
