A computer network is a group of computers connected with each other through a transmission medium such as cable, wire etc. In this guide, we will discuss the types of computer networks in detail.

कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क एक ट्रांसमिशन माध्यम जैसे केबल, तार आदि के माध्यम से एक दूसरे से जुड़े कंप्यूटरों का एक समूह है। इस पोस्ट में, हम कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क के प्रकारों के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा करेंगे।

Types of Computer Network

1. Local Area Network (LAN)

Local area network is a group of computers connected with each other in a small places such as school, hospital, apartment etc.

LAN due to their small size are considerably faster, their speed can range anywhere from 100 to 100Mbps.

लोकल एरिया नेटवर्क एक छोटे से स्थान जैसे स्कूल, अस्पताल, अपार्टमेंट आदि में एक दूसरे से जुड़े कंप्यूटरों का एक समूह है।

लैन अपने छोटे आकार के कारण काफी तेज होते हैं, उनकी गति 100 से 100 एमबीपीएस तक कहीं भी हो सकती है।

2. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)

MAN network covers larger area by connections LANs to a larger network of computers. In Metropolitan area network various Local area networks are connected with each other through telephone lines. 

The size of the Metropolitan area network is larger than LANs and smaller than WANs(wide area networks), a MANs covers the larger area of a city or town.

MAN नेटवर्क LAN को कंप्यूटर के बड़े नेटवर्क से जोड़कर बड़े क्षेत्र को कवर करता है। मेट्रोपॉलिटन एरिया नेटवर्क में विभिन्न लोकल एरिया नेटवर्क टेलीफोन लाइनों के माध्यम से एक दूसरे से जुड़े होते हैं।

 मेट्रोपॉलिटन एरिया नेटवर्क का आकार LAN से बड़ा और WAN (वाइड एरिया नेटवर्क) से छोटा होता है, एक MAN शहर या कस्बे के बड़े क्षेत्र को कवर करता है।

3. Wide Area Network (WAN)

Wide area network provides long distance transmission of data. The size of the WAN is larger than LAN and MAN. A WAN can cover country, continent or even a whole world. 

Internet connection is an example of WAN. Other examples of WAN are mobile broadband connections such as 3G, 4G etc.

वाइड एरिया नेटवर्क डेटा का लंबी दूरी का प्रसारण प्रदान करता है। WAN का आकार LAN और MAN से बड़ा होता है। एक WAN देश, महाद्वीप या यहां तक कि पूरी दुनिया को कवर कर सकता है।

इंटरनेट कनेक्शन WAN का एक उदाहरण है। WAN के अन्य उदाहरण मोबाइल ब्रॉडबैंड कनेक्शन हैं जैसे 3G, 4G आदि।

 

4. Personal Area Network (PAN)

A personal area network (PAN) connects electronic devices within a user's immediate area. The size of a PAN ranges from a few centimeters to a few meters. One of the most common real-world examples of a PAN is the connection between a Bluetooth earpiece and a smartphone. 

एक व्यक्तिगत क्षेत्र नेटवर्क (पैन) उपयोगकर्ता के तत्काल क्षेत्र में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों को जोड़ता है। पैन का आकार कुछ सेंटीमीटर से लेकर कुछ मीटर तक होता है। पैन के सबसे आम वास्तविक दुनिया के उदाहरणों में से एक ब्लूटूथ इयरपीस और स्मार्टफोन के बीच संबंध है।
